CHI Health has an immediate need to add a Clinic Phlebotomist to our Nephrology Clinic located at our CUMC-Bergan campus off of 77th & Mercy!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-430p, No weekends, No holidays & No call!

Responsibilities

Job Summary / Purpose

Under the direction of the health care provider, the phlebotomist contributes to the delivery of patient care that promotes the well-being and safety of all patients and staff.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis using procedures consistent with safe work practices and proper laboratory techniques, while maintaining the integrity of specimens.

  • Performs patient point of care testing.

  • Ensures required safety checklists and quality controls are completed and action taken if indicated.

  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments.

  • Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.

  • Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire

  • Previous phlebotomy experience strongly preferred but not required

Pay Range

$15.15 - $20.84 /hour
