As an Asset Management and Policy Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining asset lifecycle information, tracking and reporting on hardware and software assets, and coordinating with procurement to create policies and procedures related to purchasing.
Job Description
We are looking for an Asset Management and Policy Specialist to implement and maintain asset lifecycle information, track and report on hardware and software assets, and coordinate with procurement to create policies and procedures related to purchasing. This role will also involve continuously evaluating and improving asset management policies and procedures. This position will be full-time and remote .
What You’ll Do
Implement and maintain comprehensive asset lifecycle information.
Track and report on all hardware and software assets within the organization.
Coordinate with the procurement team to develop and enforce policies and procedures related to purchasing.
Continuously evaluate and improve asset management policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to IT asset management.
Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset records.
Provide training and support to staff on asset management processes and tools.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
What You’ll Need
Required:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures
Proven experience in IT asset management, including hardware and software tracking
Strong knowledge of asset management tools and software
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
