You have a great opportunity to become a part of an amazing team working for one of the biggest banks in the world! We are currently looking for a Payments Operation Senior Analyst . The successful candidate will join the MEA Payments Operations Department responsible for delivering high quality service to our corporate clients by offering accurate and timely management of payments flow through our internal bank systems. Your potential future responsibilities will include executing transactions and participating in complex processes in coordination with the Transaction Services team.

Responsibilities:

• Assistance with daily operations of the Kenya and Nigeria cross-border payments team, including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting

• Work towards becoming a mentor, assisting with development of a team of specialists and analysts, providing guidance, support

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls, mitigating risks associated with cross-border transactions

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimise process and resolve issues as well as support and strengthen customer needs in an efficient, effective and professional manner including handling exceptional requests when required

• Monitor and analyse KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth

• Implement process enhancements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve client experience

• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, adapting strategies and practices accordingly

• Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on team performance, challenges, and achievements

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a related role within trade / cash operations

• Background in FX exchange and payment processing applications will be an advantage

• Very good command of English

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Sound relationship management skills

• Proficient in MS Office

• Readiness to work in different work -shifts including public holidays and weekends
