HealthPartners Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Olivia, Minnesota
ABOUT THE JOB The CRNA administers intravenous, spinal or other anesthetics during surgical and medical procedures, and may also assist in emergency management of patients needing airway or vascular access. CRNA's monitor patient stability before, during and after procedures. This position's actions support the philosophy of Olivia Hospital & Clinic and maintains patient confidentiality. Responsibilities: Administers anesthetic drugs/gases and directs patient positioning in a safe manner to provide adequate patient anesthesia and an adequate surgical field. Responsible for IV access, inserting arterial lines, and conducting arterial blood gas tests. Documents anesthesia care in the medical record following hospital procedure. Participates in hospital emergencies, when available, to provide respiratory support. Serves on-call and as scheduled, to provide 24-hour anesthesia coverage. Completes pre-anesthesia assessment with patient, incorporating history and physical and other clinical information, to develop individualized plan of anesthesia care. Induces, maintains and assists patient to emerge from anesthesia consistent with patient needs and procedural requirements. Monitors and maintains patient appropriately during procedure incorporating accepted standards of care. Documents care thoroughly and completely. Identifies and intervenes appropriately for change of condition and in emergency situations using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Works collaboratively with health care team. Requests consults appropriately based on patient condition. Applies evidence-based practice and quality standards to anesthesia care. ABOUT YOU Graduate of accredited School of Nursing (required) Graduate of an accredited School of Anesthesia (required) Current Minnesota licensure as a Registered Nurse Current Minnesota licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Current Certificate from AANA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP Certificate of Completion Previous hospital experience (required) Training in treatment of patients of all age groups (required) ABOUT OLIVIA HOSPITAL & CLINIC Located in west central Minnesota, Olivia Hospital & Clinic is one of the leading employers in Renville County.
