Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong Experience in plumbing, piping, trenching systems, construction, and landfill work. The position involves assembling and positioning machines, casing pipes, and other equipment, and operating truck-mounted equipment and drills. This role requires physical exertion and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and position machines, casing pipes, and other equipment using hand tools.

• Drive or guide truck-mounted equipment into position, level and stabilize rigs, and extend derricks.

• Operate controls to stabilize machines and to position and align drills.

• Load drill rods onto the drill carousel for easy access during the drilling process.

• Dig mud pits for excreted drillings during the drilling process.

• Select and attach drill bits and drill rods, adding more rods as hole depths increase, and changing drill bits as needed.

• Record depths on work orders as instructed.

• Record gallons per minute (GPM) on work orders as instructed.

• Drive trucks or truck-mounted drills to and from work sites.

• Retrieve lost equipment from boreholes using retrieval tools and equipment.

• Disinfect new and old wells in preparation for use.

• Fabricate well casings.

• Use current online software program (currently Service Titan).

• Keep proper paperwork, including vehicle mileage, daily reports, and well logs.

Essential Skills

• OSHA 40-hour certification

• 6+ months to 5+ years of helper experience

• Experience in plumbing, piping, trenching systems, construction, and landfill work

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Confined Space certification

• Dthe person clearance

• Equipment experience

• Hardworking and ability to work with a team

• OSHA Certifications 10, 30, 40

Work Environment

The work environment involves extended periods in the field under various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and other adverse conditions. Candidates must be capable of physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs. This role is first shift with potential for overtime. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
