Entry Level Commercial Tire Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Servicing Truck and Trailer Tires including dismounting and mounting any type of tire.
- Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
- Determine and follow protocol of repairable tire conditions and making such repairs.
- Remove tires for repair as needed.
- Must have general knowledge and understanding of balancing tires.
- Requires heaving lifting, sometimes in excess of 100 lbs.
- Be able to move large trucks and trailers in Lot, no DOT license required.
- Needs some mechanical background.
- At times tech may have to work in hot or cold conditions, depending on weather.
- Must be able to work safely without constant direct supervision.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers.
- Responsible for inventory tracking of general tire supplies
- In house mounted tire program
- When not changing tires, the tech would have various other shop duties.
- Must have Basic Tools!
