Supports production equipment by programming, installing, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and instrumentation. This is done by applying knowledge of electrical/electronic theory and standards, controls circuitry, and programmable logic controllers (PLC). Working alone or alongside senior level controls engineer to help program, test, and debug large industrial applications. Assists plant maintenance and skilled trade personnel to troubleshoot and improve existing industrial processes and machines.
Skills/Abilities
Proficiency and Flexibility in troubleshooting and debugging automated processes.
Proficiency in Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk development. (preferred)
Solid understanding of P&ID, One line, and Electrical Drawings standards.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic controls. (preferred)
Experience with Instruments using 4-20mA loop and PID control loops.
Hands on experience with electrical systems and control devices such as, (sensors, solenoid valves, I/O devices, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Identify processes that are currently running for automated improvements.
Work with other departments to ensure project completion and success.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD. (preferred)
