BASIC PURPOSE:

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the Musket wholesale fuel inventory team. The position requires weekly and monthly analysis, completion of month-end accounting processes, and design and implementation of efficiencies to processes.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the wholesale fuel inventory department.

• Ensure all deadlines are met and reporting is distributed accurately and efficiently.

• Perform a monthly audit of terminal statements to ensure accuracy.

• Ensure accurate fuel inventory processes are maintained through supervision of book to physical inventory reconciliation.

• Cross-departmental communication of inventory adjustments to P&L owners required.

• Respond timely to requests about inventory adjustments.

• Maintain wholesale fuel inventory work papers.

• Assist with annual audit requests.

• Assist with year-end inventory valuation.

• Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.

• Prepare month-end journal entries.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

• Use discretion and independent judgment in developing enhancements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

• CPA Preferred

Experience:

• 3-5 years of accounting related experience required.

• Experience in analyzing and/or auditing large amounts of data and data entry. Fuel experience a plus.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Hard Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Accounting knowledge

Soft Skills:

• Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, ability to meet multiple deadlines, team player, and keen attention to detail

Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

• Possible evening/weekend work.
