The Stripping Technician is vital in ensuring the efficient and precise chemical stripping of customer-supplied parts. Key Responsibilities: {#spanstylefontsize115ptcolorblackkeyresponsibilitiesspan}
- Execute production, inspection, and machine operation tasks with precision.
- Set up tanks and initiate processes, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
- Diligently monitor and clean production equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
- Aid shop technicians and the materials clerk as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to established safety rules and regulations.
- Utilize inspection measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to interpret drawing requirements accurately.
Required Qualifications: {#spanstylefontsize115ptcolorblackrequiredqualificationsspan}
- High school diploma or equivalent required; manufacturing experience preferred (minimum 1 year), particularly in pre and post-cleaning surface finish processes.
- Proficient in basic math, with strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English proficiently.
- Ability to safely utilize and wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a dust mask, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.
- Comfortable working around caustic and corrosive chemicals.
- Physical requirements include the ability to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Vision requirements include 20/20 vision, with or without corrective lenses.
