The Software Engineer fosters a collaborative and innovative environment, upholding company values of trust, teamwork, and excellence. This role involves designing user-centric solutions and effectively communicating with customers across platforms. As a software engineer, you will lead and/or support system design from concept to completion, ensuring robustness, reliability, and maintainability. You will develop clear technical design documentation, select optimal technologies, and promote best practices for successful project execution.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall technical vision and make multi-year decisions that drive the engineering culture.

  • Analyze customer needs, market trends, and potential technical risks to inform product strategy.

  • Design innovative systems for strategically important projects, including clean sheet designs.

  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, foster a culture of learning, and act as a resource for other engineers.

  • Drive the development lifecycle from concept to completion, including defining system architecture and requirements, designing efficient algorithms, crafting robust firmware and embedded applications using object-oriented principles, and establishing comprehensive design verification and validation methods to ensure software quality and reliability.

  • Explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Present effective proposals, initiate discussions on complex issues, and develop strategies with strong stakeholder alignment.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 4-7 years of proficiency in object-oriented software development using a various programming language such as Rust, Python, Java/Java Script, C++, and C#.

  • 3 years of experience developing software applications for embedded devices.

  • 2 years of experience with Linux, Mac, IOS, Android, Windows, and Unix operating systems.

  • 4-7 years of experience using IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio or Eclipse.

  • 3 years of experience implementing various communication protocols (RS232/485, CAN, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet).

  • 2 years of experience with MCU peripherals such as UART, USB, GPIO, I2C, SPI, PWM, Timers, eMMC, and System-on-Module.

  • Proven ability to architect, implement, and deploy complex technical solutions.

  • Strong skills in using UML tool suites to create detailed design diagrams and data models.

  • Proficiency using Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, and Docker.

  • Familiarity with interpreting hardware schematics for efficient debugging.

  • Proficient with software testing and debugging.

  • Experience in developing solutions leveraging emerging technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, and Micro-services for cloud computing solutions.

  • Electro-mechanical experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and foster collaboration across functions.

  • Consistently delivers accurate and high-quality work.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • 4-7 years of applicable post-graduate industrial manufacturing experience.
