Position Summary

As part of the Network Integrity and Performance team this position will focus on Mental Health Parity as it relates to the management, oversight, and implementation of the Network requirements of the new Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). The MHPAEA ensures that we provide all members with equal access to both mental health/substance abuse disorder and medical/surgical benefits and care. This position will engage with other cross-functional line of business teams and business partners, in particular Compliance, in support of the overall management, oversight, and implementation of MHPAEA. The successful candidate will need to be resourceful and leverage information and resources available while managing strong working relationships across the organization. You will be part of a broader cross organization Mental Health Parity team, but you must be able to act independently in a fast-moving environment, where you will be making informed strategic and tactical decisions.

This position will be responsible for the development of MHPAEA Network policies, implementation of processes to support the MHPAEA Network requirements, monitoring of Network compliance with existing and new regulations, and supporting responses to state and/or plan sponsor inquiries or findings.

  • Collaborate across the enterprise business segments to understand business needs and requirements

  • Develop and implement new ideas that support the program work and team, while helping the company achieve compliance with regulatory requirements specific to Network

  • Influence change to improve processes, organization effectiveness and systems

  • Assist others to identify solutions to issues that negatively impact the program and/or project goals

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of successful project management experience related to high level projects and initiatives

  • 5-7+ years of healthcare business/insurance industry experience

  • Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes.

  • Proven track record managing complex project and or programs.

  • Experience in QuickBase, excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal and state Mental Health Parity regulations and implementation

  • Program Management skills including evaluation of business processes, managing project timelines, facilitating matrix teams

  • Understanding of network composition (including Adequacy, credentialing and provider reimbursement), and product is preferred

  • Proven communication skill with experience writing for and presenting to a variety of audiences

  • Critical analytical thinking and problem solving

  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.

  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork

  • Detail oriented

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
