Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.
The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.
Job Description
TheOmni Oklahoma City Hotelis seeking a professionalHotel Purchasing & Receiving Supervisorto join the team of this upscale hotel.
The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel will be a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.
The Supervisor will provide for the acquisition of food, beverage, and non-perishable purchases at maximum economics based on business activity, acting as a liaison between the resort and supplier representatives in the procurement of goods and services required to achieve the objectives of each department.
Responsibilities
Directly supervise the Purchasing/Receiving staff through delegation of work tasks to achieve set objectives. Coordinate and monitor work performed by Storeroom Associates, specifically Food and Beverage requirements according to forecasted menus.
Attend all Food and Beverage and related meetings such as menu tie-down, weekly forecast and Financial Services.
Maintain close communications with Chef and Catering Department on requirements for future menu events to evaluate menus against Par Inventories in determining necessary requirements for outlets and banquet functions.
Establish and maintain training tools for subordinates to achieve a better knowledge and understanding of the Purchasing process and applications such as: product familiarity, receiving and storage standards. EOM reconciliation of Food and Beverage, EOM Accounts Payable closing.
Monitors vendor ability to provide timely and consistent quality according to established specifications.
Interact with other departments to ensure that guest needs are satisfied.
Responsible for with monthly inventory.
Maintain a flexible schedule at all times because the hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Work daily with Accounts Payable to ensure Birchstreet is accurate and up-to-date.
Coordinate weekly wine, liquor and beer purchases, ensuring compliance with state liquor laws. Establish and maintain requisition procedures for alcoholic beverages that guarantee maximum control over inventories.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year purchasing/receiving experience in a hotel or high volume restaurant environment.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
Ability to read requisitions and complete orders as requested
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively train, coach and exercise supervisorial courage
Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems
Adequate computer skills to include previous experience in Oracle, Birchstreet, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with ability to easily learn our proprietary software and requisition system, highly preferred.
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
Must have experience receiving food items and maintaining proper inventory levels according to kitchen needs
Must be flexible and able to work am and pm shifts, weekends and holidays.
Computer and excellent customer service skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic math is required.
Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate to heavy weight.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Working Environment:
Interior of hotel and loading dock.
Exposure to various weather conditions.
Exposure to walk-in coolers.
