One Gas Project Manager II in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Position Description:
This position will be removed on November 15th, 2024.
You will have 2+ years of formal project management experience preferably in the construction and/or oil and gas industry. PMP is preferred but not required. This position is located in Oklahoma City and you will work a hybrid schedule with some days being in the office and some days working remotely.
What You Will Do
Provide an intermediate level of full lifecycle management of natural gas construction projects.
You will be responsible for requirements gathering, project scoping, applicable partner coordination, design and construction scheduling, construction management, and financial analysis. Support all aspects of natural gas construction projects from initiation through closure of service.
This includes communicating the project's deadlines, scope, budget and costs. Develop scope, schedule and milestones for natural gas construction projects.
Maintain design and construction project management procedures.
Responsible for the development process, which includes reviewing construction plans, running economic evaluations, drafting contract documents, and negotiating gas installation agreements with developers as applicable.
Create communication plans for applicable partners, including:
developers
engineers
plumber
site superintendents
city permitting
permitting consultants
internal engineering staff
operations
resource management
right of way
legal
Monitor progress of natural gas construction projects.
Responsible for status updates which includes providing updates to partners.
Review and communicate scheduling data to ensure project consistency and optimization.
Resolve issues. Maintain relationships with applicable partners. Provide information applicable partners involved in the natural gas construction projects.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Minimum Bachelor's Degree Construction management, engineering technology, business administration, other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience.
Knowledge of gas distribution system infrastructure design and materials, construction methods, and project durations.
Knowledge to interpret engineering construction plans, mechanical drawings, equipment specifications and rate schedules. 3+ years of experience with scheduling principles and practices.
Knowledge or training related to:
Gas fired equipment design and operation
Line extension program
Job order preparation
Pressure request procedures
Experience in use and function of project management software and office equipment including computers and applicable software.
3+ years of experience researching and composing reports, studies, cost analyses, contracts, and correspondence. Read and write fluently in English. Minimum Applicable driver's license for travel to meet with customers and attend multiple civic and community functions.
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Mobility to travel in and around office and outdoor environments and job sites. Communicate and exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
