Amentum Fuel Distribution Systems Supervisor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Purpose and Scope:
Amentum, a global leader in the critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions is seeking a Liquid Fuels Maintenance (LFM) Supervisor at Tinker, AFB. The LFM supervises the maintenance, repair and minor construction efforts of all fuel storage and distribution systems. Directs all inspections and testing in accordance with required Air Force, State and Federal guidelines. Research and orders replacement parts for equipment repairs and regular maintenance actions.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Keeps Superintendent informed of problems and unique situations warranting management notification.
Oversees inspections of fuel receiving, storage, and distribution facilities to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges such as distribution lines, float gauges, piping valves, and pumps.
Oversees pump lubrication, gasket, and seal replacement, and correcting pump equipment misalignment.
Supervises the cleaning of strainers and filters plus checks meters to ensure correct delivery and calibration.
Supervises overhauling of system components such as pressure regulating valves and access valves.
Directs disassembly, adjustment, alignment, and calibration, and/or replacement of gauges and meters.
Supervises installation and removal of equipment such as filters and piping to repair, modify, and/or replace systems and system components.
Directs the cleaning of fuel tanks and distribution lines.
Directs the removal of corrosion and repainting of surfaces and daily inspections to CNG unit (natural gas dispenser) as required.
Maintains records of inspections and repairs and recurring maintenance checklists.
Responsible for maintaining electrical/electronic fuels systems and components to include JP-8, gasoline, and DF-2 diesel.
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing technical knowledge of existing and upgrades to fuel systems as required by Air Force Regulations and ARRO standards.
Follows established safety procedures and utilizes safety protective equipment and clothing, to include confined space rescue.
Ensures proper housekeeping practices are maintained to include shop and worksites.
Performs other related tasks as directed by Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Current state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
Five (5) years’ experience in Liquid Fuel Maintenance with at least 2 years in supervision or management.
Knowledge of all related EM, ODEQ and State Regulations
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision
General knowledge of hand and power tools.

Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Alutiiq related matters
Adherence to contract requirements and Alutiiq policies.
Working closely and harmoniously with fellow workers and supervisors
Adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations
Preferred:
Associate degree or technical trade certification.
Military experience, preferably Air Force.
Working knowledge of Unified Facilities Code 3-460-3 and Petroleum, Oils & Lubricants trade.
Ability to efficiently utilize the Air Force Civil Engineer NexGen computer-based information management system.
7 years Liquid Fuel Maintenance experience and 5 years in a supervisory position.
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to hear and speak. Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Lifts exceeding 50 pounds will be accomplished with two-man teams and using appropriate safety equipment to efficiently accomplish the task. The employee must be able to work in confined spaces or at heights of 120 feet (such as in a manlift/boomlift). The employee is occasionally required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings weekends and/or holidays.
This position may currently and/or in the future be required to obtain and retain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and/or Personal Clearance (PCL) as required by law or contract. Position requires pre-employment drug screening.
