QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (G.E.D., HiSET, TASC)
  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree preferred
  • Knowledge in the field of Rehabilitative Services
  • Experience with persons with disabilities
  • Public relations and marketing skills a plus

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass OSBI, MVR, DHS Registry Check, reference checks, pre-employment drug test and any other background check as Agency requires or deems necessary
  • Valid Oklahoma Drivers license
  • Personal vehicle in good operational order

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain a valid Oklahoma Drivers License and current Oklahoma vehicle tag
  • Maintain personal vehicle which is in good operational order to transport clients
  • Maintain a minimum of 50/100/50 liability insurance with insurance on personal vehicle used to transport clients with insurance companys equivalent of a business endorsement, i.e. naming DRTC as an interested third party
  • Pass bi-annual motor vehicle registry (MVR) checks within established Agency guidelines
  • A high level of professionalism and dress
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. An acceptable level of reading and writing ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this Job Description:

  • Standing up to 8 hours per day.
  • Able to move maximum weight of 50 pounds (vertically)
  • Able to move maximum weight of 25 pounds (horizontally)
  • Able to move above described weights a maximum of 100 feet.

NOTE - Staff will be counseled for failure to adhere to maximum weights or for non-use of required Safety Equipment.

Regularly required to talk with or listen to others. Frequently required to sit and use hands to handle/feel objects, tools or controls. Vision requirements include depth perception, ability to see peripherally and ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus. Required to be able to operate a vehicle for travel/transportation purposes. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Additional physical requirements to be considered depending on the training/job coaching site and the skill being trained and can include sitting, bending, stooping, moving, grasping and stretching.

The demands of the job include being individually responsible for client(s) and therefore must be able to physically demonstrate first aid skills including seizure care; perform CPR; use an AED and perform the Heimlich maneuver.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Hours may vary according to job coaching responsibilities and/or agency needs. Normal working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Hours will vary when working with an individual, including evening hours and weekends as needed. A 30 minute lunch break may be taken away from the Agency. Two 15 minute breaks available as scheduling allows.

This position is classified under Secondary Remote Work Designation - approximately 50% of job functions can be typically ompleted remotely based on a 40 hour per week work schedule. Eligible for up to 20 hours per week of remote work. Remote hours are not guaranteed, and staff are eligible for up to this amount of remote work, based on agency need.

This position works a combination of office and field settings.

Additional work factors to be considered depends wholly on the setting in which training/job coaching is to take place. Each job setting has a variety of factors that should be acknowledged, including variable noise and dust levels, varying temperatures, lighting and ground surfaces.

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight.
