Responsibilities:
Testing, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, installing and upgrading the software and hardware infrastructure on operational systems critical in airplane approaches to airport landings and enroute navigations
Researching, designing and developing software and hardware systems, enhancements, modifications and configurations to existing systems and networks
Providing required inputs for development of software and hardware system manuals, guidelines and documentation where commercially developed documents are unavailable
Providing engineering review of Navigation and Landing Systems software and hardware design data to ensure compliance with FAA performance criteria
Requirements:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .
On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.
Hardware skills in both analog and digital circuit analysis and design desired
Programming skills in C/C++ or other languages for embedded microprocessor systems desired
Experience working in a team environment
Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation
Ability to pass an FAA background investigation
Willing to travel
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering; ABET is required (accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology)
0-3 years of engineering experience
Strong analytical skills, proven problem solving ability while being self-motivated in our team environment
Experience developing creative solutions for hardware and software
Excellent oral and written communication skills
