SUMMARY
AAR is seeking aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT). The A&P Technician I is ideal for experienced A&P maintenance professionals and veterans who have their FAA Airframe certification along with <3C/span> years of aviation maintenance experience.
WORK LOCATION: Onsite at AAR (at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK.)
SCHEDULE (Full-Time/non-exempt and variable, 40 – 50-hour workweek)
Supervisor determines shift/days required, but we can discuss in interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred.
1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 5:30am to 4:00pm
2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am or 3:30pm to 2:00am
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to perform heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision
Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging
Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks
Ensure aircraft are safely maintainedin accordance with the Airworthiness Standards
Use FAA approved/accepted data (i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently
Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements
Perform airframe repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings
Use a PC, iPad and basic computer applications and programs
Adherence to work schedule, punctuality, and self-motivation
Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
<3C/span> years aviation maintenance experience
FAA Airframe certification
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are crucial
Able to skillfully use the minimum tools required
Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR
Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Powerplant license (A&P)
Valid Driver’s License

TRAINING
- In-Person, Computer Based Training, and On-the-Job training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
Employment will be contingent on clearing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, 3-year employment verification, 2-year DOT verification, and education verification. These screening requirements must clear prior to the start date.
Candidate must possess U.S. work authorization and pass E-Verify within 3 business days of start date.
Must qualify for a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days from start date.
