Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a key role in managing the financial operations of the company. This position involves processing and recording incoming payments, monitoring customer accounts for delayed payments, and ensuring that invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will collaborate with internal departments and communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies, ensuring the company's financial health through efficient receivables management.

THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Generation & Distribution: Prepare, verify, and send invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Payment Processing: Record and process incoming payments, including checks, credit cards, ACH, and wire transfers.

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.

  • Collections: Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers regarding overdue payments to ensure timely collection.

  • Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, discrepancies, and payment terms. Resolve issues as needed.

  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports on the status of receivables, including aging reports and cash flow projections.

  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of transactions, ensuring proper documentation for audits.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues with customer accounts.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations concerning financial transactions

    Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Competence in using Excel for financial calculations

• Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles

• Ability to maintain accurate financial records

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong data entry skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Experience with financial software and databases is a plus

• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information

• Minimum high school diploma; further education in finance or related field is a plus

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
