Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description

We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the banking industry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA. Experience as an accounting clerk in the banking industry is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cash accounts, managing overdraft programs, and handling Accounts Payable. Your tasks will also involve making entries into the general ledger in line with the guidelines of the accounting industry. This role provides a contract-to-hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • As an Accounting Clerk, maintain cash accounts through financial institutions and perform daily account reconciliations.

  • Oversee the operation of the credit union's overdraft program.

  • Update and maintain financial software on a daily basis.

  • Handle Accounts Payable duties in a timely and accurate manner as an Accounting Clerk.

  • Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Provide assistance to customers with their accounts as required.

  • Ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Assist the VP of Finance as needed.

  • Utilize various systems such as Netsuite, Fed Line, Privilege Manager, Catalyst Wires, Chexsystems.

Requirements • Minimum of one year experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated skills in Billing and Data Entry

• Able to process Invoices efficiently and accurately

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
