Description

Our client is a renowned manufacturing organization, committed to delivering high-quality products and services to customers and is hiring an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager role will be replacing a long term employee that is retiring. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller, a seasoned professional with more than 10 years with the organization who is dedicated to supporting and guiding direct reports while placing a high value on work/life balance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of the accounting department

• Setting, tracking, and maintaining financial goals, objectives, and budgets

• Implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information

• Developing and monitoring internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures

• Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis

• Coordinating budget and financial forecasts

• Conducting thorough reviews of financial statements and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations

• Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team

• Applying skills such as Auditing, Month End Close, Year End Closings, Consolidated Financial Statements, Balance Sheet Reviews, and Profit and Loss

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, manufacturing industry preferred but not required

• Demonstrated proficiency in auditing and balance sheet reviews

• Expertise in month-end close and year-end closings

• Experience in preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements

• Ability to review and interpret profit and loss statements

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance preferred
