Job Title: Senior Production Scheduler
Summary:Position Summary:
Asset Planning
• Attend production meetings, address daily and short term scheduling issues
• Schedule in accordance with inventory targets, internal service requirements and operational limitations
• Create firmed production plan within planning time fence based on demand signals
• Plan materials transfers, cross-pole and inter-plants requirements
• Provide planning including raw material requirements based on agreed schedule with operations
• Control exception messages to continuously improve schedule
• Utilize MIMI program to efficiently optimize material replenishments through daily model run/publishing
• Review daily MIMI reports to identify inventory and/or order issues
• communicate/prioritize replenishments/orders through communication with Production management, asset planning and customer service
• Be the main contact point for assigned materials globally that require exception management, requested delivery date improvement, delay alerts at receiving plants and conflict resolution communication with product management
• Manage longer term, strategic demand and supply issues including master planning as needed
• As a senior production scheduler, lead supply chain initiatives and plant operation improvement projects and support the team.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and analytical skills, take initiatives and ownership leading and encouraging team to take difficult tasks
Inventory Planning
• Execute excess inventory and out-of-spec inventory reduction, contribute to meet inventory targets
• Control key raw materials inventory
• Propose updated safety stock requirements based on demand, supply and capacity
Compliance
• Work safely, maintain safe working environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Support and comply with quality / safety management system and regulatory compliance
Others
• Continuous optimization of existing schedule to improve service for both external and internal customers
• Provide on-time service to meet both external and internal requirements
• Work closely with operations team to optimize production plan
• Track capacity of assets, manage and maintain master data
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert to lead cross-functional projects, develop/analyze/manage reports, conduct process and system testing as needed
• Provide coaching/training to key stakeholders and other functions on day-to-day trouble-shooting/problem-solving, provide backup support as needed
• Lead sales execution and strategic improvement programs to optimize daily shipments including Loading File, rolling risk analysis and customer emergency process
• Participate and represent Momentive in both external and internal audits as needed
• Identify critical supply issues for the site, collaborate with site operation leaders to drive improved service to customers
• Lead process improvement initiatives for mid- and short-term capacity and unmet demand to increase surety of supply, cost savings, operational efficiencies
Responsibilities Include:
Tasks and responsibilities of the position:
The Senior SIOP Specialist Leader position is accountable for demand planning, raw materials and packaging materials management, inventory management, tolling and production scheduling or stock transfer scheduling within supply chain.
The role will utilize best practices, procedures and tools to optimize service, inventory and costs per business needs.
As the team leader, lead supply chain initiatives and plant operation improvement projects and support the team.
Furthermore, the role will serve as Subject Matter Expert to lead cross-functional projects and provide coaching/training to other functions as needed.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in production planning, inventory management or similar positions
Have knowledge in Sales & Operations Planning, Material Requirements, Planning and scheduling
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, international, multicultural team environment
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
Demonstrate strong organization skills, committed with passion, detail-oriented with continuous improvement and customer mindset
Inspire others with proven job performance and coaching experience
Able to influence others with interpersonal skills to work in a matrix environment
Demonstrate strong leadership and analytical skills, take initiatives and ownership leading and encouraging team to take difficult tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP system
Prefer to be Lean Six Sigma certified
