We are looking to hire a graduate research assistant at Weber State University to assist with up to two research studies in the field of communication. This is a paid position working an average of 10 hours per week through the Communication Department s Master of Professional Communication program.The purpose of the research studies is to investigate the influence of emerging media technology such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality in mass communication and mediated education contexts. The overall purpose is to better understand how various audiences perceive,respond to,and interact with a rapidly developing media landscape in personal,public,and educational contexts.The research assistants hired for this project will be responsible for the following activities and will work closely with the research team to ensure project success:Conduct a scoping review of the literature investigating message credibility and memory performance.Help develop and deploy a theory-based quantitative research design.Assist in developing evaluation strategies for research participants.Develop mechanisms to recruit research participants from the general public and from higher education institutions to participate in the studies.Assist in preparing the completed manuscript for submission to an international conference and subsequent publicationFor more information,please contact Dr. Aaron Atkins at datkins@weber.edu.
