SERVICE EXPERTS LLC LEAD TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - in OGDEN, Utah

Who We Are:

As part of the Legacy Training Aircraft Division (LTAD) Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), Avionics, and Tech Data Improvements Support, we are seeking Technical Specialists to support SwRI subtask efforts which will focus on developing technical manuals for the USAF to operate the Commercial-Derivative aircraft managed by LTAD. This included technical data development in support of USAF standard Technical Orders. The alternate work locations for this role include Oklahoma City, OK/Tinker AFB as well as Layton, UT/Hill AFB.

Objectives of this Role:

  • System program office technical leader for assigned systems and acquisition programs for complex and sophisticated systems.
  • Leads the development of technical manuals for designated programs. Includes preparation, oversight, coordination, and ultimate publication of manuals.
  • Provide expert level technical advice and mentorship for system logistical and sustainment support for the repair, maintenance, operation, and training related to complex systems and equipment to senior leaders, functional managers, lower level equipment specialist and engineers.
  • Review, revise or develop initial technical publications, system inventory, and master records.
  • Robust knowledge of process, laws, rules, and regulations associated with technical publications.
  • Use independent judgment to provide technical leadership and guidance to field units, depots, and others, in resolving complex system/equipment maintenance, operation, fielding, sustainment and logistics problems.
  • Exercise discretion to lead, guide and advise government and contract equipment specialists on local and commercial-wide procedures, policies, and processes.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Conduct, and/or execute the processes, procedures and policies related to the functional tasks and activities of a United States Air Force system-level equipment specialist.
  • Read, understand and interpret system and equipment level technical, sustainment, acquisition, and logistical data, information and metrics.
  • Provide independent technical advice in terms of oral and written briefings, reports and recommendations to the USAF customer.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals/orders, and other tech data and, identify and analyze complex technical problems and exercise discretion on developing innovative solutions.
  • Plan, organize, and reprioritize individual work, and work of others, to meet changing tasks and deadlines.
  • Contribute to preparation of proposals and new contracts as needed.

Requirements:

  • Requires an Bachelors or a Masters degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Maintenance, Technical Writing or Business or related degree field with related experience.
  • 6-15 years: Experience providing support and guidance throughout an organization on methods of sustainment, acquisition, correcting deficiencies, and resolving equipment problems with long term implications.
  • 6-15 years: Prior work experience in reading and understanding technical data, and incorporating technical data and solutions into technical manuals/orders.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Ogden, Utah. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
