Job Description:
This position is responsible for utilizing assessment options to identify and evaluate patient therapeutic, fitness, health behaviors, and/or sports performance exercise needs. This may include electrodiagnostic testing. The incumbent works with patients and clients to develop treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, health, fitness, and/or sports performance goals.

This may include a broad variety of advanced tests such as electrodiagnostic tests, exercises, and therapies. The incumbent works with patients and clients to develop treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, health, fitness, and/or sports performance goals.
Job Essentials
Evaluates new patients and clients to determine program needs. therapy/treatment/exercise
Administers diagnostic stress tests, health risk appraisals, and/or fitness testing. Monitor’s patient response.
Develops exercise programs that appropriately address patient's short and long-term goals.
Assist’s patients with prescribed therapeutic and/or exercises. fitness/performance-related
Thoroughly educates patients on their exercise program, health needs, and risks.
May provide some mentoring, training, and orienting as needed.
Mentors student interns as assigned by Exercise Physiologist II or lead over student interns.
May provide some community fitness, health, and/or athletic performance training.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Knowledge of exercise prescription and safe cardiovascular training methods
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution (Degree will be verified).
1 year of clinical experience in a Hospital setting EP EKG competency test completed and passed
If in a wellness setting, an advanced health and wellness certification and one year of experience working with special populations is required.
Preferred Qualification
ACLS required prior to being eligible to proctor a stress test.
If in a sports performance setting, ACSM-CCEP, or NSCA-CSCS certification is required within six months of hire.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$23.25 - $35.89
