WEBER HUMAN SERVICES Driver - Meals on Wheels in OGDEN, Utah
The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services. We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs. Weber Human Services creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to: do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose.
Deliver meals to homebound seniors (Meals on Wheels) congregate meals to senior centers, Determining the best route to drive in order to make all stops on time and preserve fuel economy. Interact professionally with clients and notating clients' preferences and acting as a contract for the company. Maintain precise records of delivers. Ensure food products are delivered with an emphasis on hygiene and safety, following all applicable local laws and company policies. Driving goods along a set route following all applicable local laws and company policies. Loading and unloading merchandise from nutrition kitchen and delivery vehicle to the destination.
Knowledge of streets and locations within Weber County. Requires a local food handlers permit. Current state of Utah driver's license with a good driving record.
