Job Description

Danfoss’s Compact & standard drives BU is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven product manager to join our BU product management team. Your role will be pivotal in establishing Danfoss as a leader in compact & standard drives solutions, driving sales growth, and gaining market share.

As the Product Manager, you'll develop global market insights, segmentation, and positioning for our mid-tier product portfolio, managing the product roadmap, lifecycle planning, and business support. You'll report directly to the head of BU Product Management.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop customer centric, outside-in mid-tier product portfolio strategy, define features and value propositions based on market needs, develop global market insights and competitive analysis for mid tier product development.

  • Identify potential business opportunities and build business cases for the mid tier product portfolio globally with close interaction with Product Owners, sales drivers and regionals sales organization, also drive cross-division/cross BU collaborations.

  • Develop product expertise to leverage knowledge and capabilities to develop product support materials for key industries and regions

  • Clearly communicate and translate market inputs to product requirements; Bring expertise and recommendations to Product Owner and project team to define specs and priorities.

  • Support Voice of Customer to the organization through effective communication on topics such as market needs/trends/innovations, future technologies, technical specifications/requirements, product changes, portfolio gaps, performance metrics, and other relevant topics.

  • Anticipate market dynamics & applications to enable specific industry product solutions. Lead new industries /new markets development.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electric/electronics or business management

  • 5-10 years working experience in product application or product management team, preferably over 5 years of drives industry experience for mid tier market

  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

  • Fluent in English

  • People management skill is a plus

Job Criteria

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and productivity skills. Self-drive, precise, and detail-oriented. Ability to continually prioritize multiple projects.

  • Solid application understanding of drives systems

  • Solid understanding of the Industrial market/platforms we serve.
