Robert Half has a brand new opening for an Automation Engineer with a local client in Odessa, FL.

Position is Hybrid (full-time hours hours), being 1 day WFH and 4 days in-office.

Summary:

Seeking a full-time process control system engineer with experience in PLC programming of complex control systems using primarily Rockwell Automation products to join our Automation Software Department.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Experience with Rockwell Automation Control Logix platform of automation controllers (PLCs).

  • Demonstrated Experience with Rockwell Automation FTView (SE and ME) platform of HMI applications.

  • Experience with field instrumentation (E& H, Rosemount, etc.) which is connected to our process automation control systems and the ability to configure, tune, and startup complex control systems at our clients’ project sites.

  • Ability to travel as required on a project basis to assist in initial checking of devices and initial operation of the system.

  • Ability to assist in training client personnel in the operation of the system.

  • Ability to read and understand Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Electrical Schematics.

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation FTBatch software is a plus.

  • Experience with the Rockwell Automation Plant PAx object library is a plus.

  • Language skills in Spanish, German, and other languages is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, strong computer skills, and a cooperative team attitude are among the requirements of this position.

Must be eligible for full-time hours on W2 - AND local to Tampa/Odessa, FL area for Hybrid schedule
