Irwin County Hospital located in Ocilla, Georgia, needs 1 Medical Technologist. Duties: Performs laboratory technical procedures and analysis, collects specimens, and obtains body fluid/blood samples, cultures from patients of all ages for interpretation in the treatment and diagnosis of disease. Capable of judging specimen acceptability, appropriateness of results, and making test modifications when necessary. Performs quality control, preventative maintenance, makes independent decisions, interprets abnormal results, pursuing appropriate follow-up in the event of variance from the norm. Adheres to the laboratory's policies and procedures for instrument calibration and maintenance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Sciences, ASCP or AMT or equivalent certification.
