Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

SIGN ON BONUS MAY BE AVAILABLE

The Specialty RN in collaboration with the Perioperative Director and Service Coordinator (s) creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization's mission and vision. Duties include but not limited to, the performance of specific duties, as the circulator and/or surgical technologist during surgical and other invasive procedures. Performs routine scrub and circulating duties as well as specifically delegated duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the Department of Surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the on-going Performance Improvement Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 year Associate Degree required. 4 year Bachelor Degree preferred

• FL RN Licensure required or obtained within 90 days of hire if licensed with applicable RN Compact Licensure

• BLS

• 1-3 years of nursing experience required. 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred
