SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
- Management of all financial functions including supervision of payroll, Accounts Payable, Financial Analysis, billing, General Ledger maintenance, financial reporting and maintenance of the Fixed Asset records. Responsible for the implementation of/Adherence to all Financial and Accounting policies. (Both internal and GAAP) Provides all financial support for Maintenance. Establishes policies and procedures for each job function and ensures that each function is cross trained. Responsible for ensuring a timely month-end close. Works closely with the Finance Director in developing and publishing monthly forecasts and the annual business plan. Publishes and explains data required for external and internal audits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Supervision and training Accounts Receivables/Payables, Payroll, and General Accounting activities.
Variance analysis as requested/required.
Responsible for ensuring that all monthly journal entries are completed.
Assists Controller in preparing the monthly Corporate financial statements package.
Closes general ledger each month and ensures required reports are generated.
Assists in the development and necessary reporting for the monthly forecast and annual business plans.
Prepare appropriate tax forms and reports as required (sales and use tax).
Balance Sheet account reconciliations monthly.
Prepare and transmit Letter of Credit documents to Corporate Treasury department.
Calculate sakes commissions.
Work with Group Director of Communication and Financial Analysis on Corporate financial reporting requirements.
Assist with both internal and external audit reviews.
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and promptly with all levels of the organization, both oral and written.
Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret financial data and operating problems in order to make recommendation to management.
Excellent PC skills using Excel, Word, and other spreadsheet and database management software tools.
Understanding of JD Edwards Business System.
Must be proactive problem solver in arriving at creative and effective recommendations for improvements in financial and Non-Financial areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Accounting with ten years of experience, CPA and/or Masters Degree preferred.
Supervisory/Managerial experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
