Join our dynamic Bio-polymers and Bio-monomers R&D team within the Chemtech division in Switzerland. As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in advancing our bio-based and renewable applications, contributing to innovative research and development efforts.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Actively participate in experiments ranging from lab to pilot scale, supporting R&D engineers in bio-monomer production and bio-polymer research.
Conduct detailed investigations into the synthesis and processing of bio-based materials.
Perform comprehensive characterization of produced bio-monomers to facilitate subsequent polymerization trials.
Be responsible of qualitative and quantitative analysis and data elaboration of raw materials and products.
Present results at group meetings and summarize your work in form of reports.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Be an excellent (final year) master’s degree or PhD students with a major in chemistry / material science / chemical engineering along with a solid understanding in polymer chemistry.
Laboratory experience in conducting organic chemistry synthesis.
Know-how in characterization analysis like GC, HPLC and GPC.
Fluent English. any other language is an advantage.
Skilled in MS Office 365 (especially Excel)

The internship is intended to begin from 1st Oct 2024 and lasts for six (6), up to nine (9), consecutive months - depending on your availability. Starting time can be negotiated based on curriculum needs and individual situations.
