Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Oakland, Tennessee. This role will primarily involve handling a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy, responding to vendor inquiries, and making informed decisions regarding payment discrepancies. This role will require a high degree of independence and reliability in managing workload and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process a large volume of invoices daily via email.

• Conduct 2-way matching to ensure the accuracy of invoices and purchase orders.

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.

• Exercise sound judgment in resolving discrepancies and making payment decisions.

• Maintain reliability and autonomy in managing workload independently.

• Utilize Accounts Payable (AP) and 10 Key Skills to ensure efficient operation.

• Perform bank reconciliations as part of the job function.

• Code invoices as part of maintaining accurate records.

• Occasionally work overtime to meet deadlines and ensure tasks are completed effectively.

• Ensure compliance with all regulations related to accounts payable. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to accurately Code Invoices

• Possess 10 Key Skills for data entry and calculations

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
