Job Description:
Your Role:As a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients, ensuring they meet their goals and regain functional mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists, utilizing appropriate modalities and techniques.
Monitor patients' responses to therapy and regularly communicate progress or potential goal revisions to the Physical Therapist.
Document services provided and patients’ responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate patients and families/caregivers about exercises, adaptive equipment, and community support resources.
Assist with patient discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
What You Bring:
Maine State Physical Therapy Assistant licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with therapists, patients, and families.
Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and work as part of a team
