Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Description

The candidate will be working in the warehouse packaging, labeling, scheduling shipments, and keeping inventory. This is a 6-month contract to hire position.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and labeling products for shipment

• Scheduling shipments and managing shipping logistics

• Maintaining accurate inventory records

• Answering phone calls professionally and interacting effectively with colleagues and clients

• Managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining a structured workspace

• Completing tasks with a high level of precision and attention to detail

Essential Skills

• Strong communication skills with fluency in English

• Organizational skills for managing multiple tasks

• Attention to detail for accurate task completion

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Basic computer skills including email, internet browsing, and file management

• At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving with domestic and international experience

• 1-3 years of experience in packaging and ERP systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

• Ability to read and write English

• General knowledge of basic computer inventory input

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

• Willingness to perform additional tasks as needed

This role provides an opportunity to interact with assembly, production, and all facets of the operation in a small warehouse environment. You will become a pivotal part of the team with a potential pay increase after 6 months.

Work Environment

Our facility is located in San Leandro and is a small warehouse with 10-15 employees. We produce medical keyboards for hospitals and clinics, featuring unique attributes like fingerprint identification and auto-cleaning. The warehouse is quiet, and all employees, including assemblers, QA, and repair techs, work together in this cohesive environment. Regular shoes are acceptable, and the shift is 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some overtime and no weekend work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
