An established Oakland-based law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal with expertise in Trust and Estate Litigation to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex probate, trust, and estate disputes, supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and conducting legal research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all aspects of Trust and Estate Litigation, including probate administration and contested trust proceedings.

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, petitions, objections, and other legal documents in probate court.

• Conduct detailed case research, organize and analyze documents, and prepare exhibits for hearings and trials.

• Manage the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses, and coordinating document production.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and timelines.

• Assist in preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal with a focus on Trust and Estate Litigation.

• Proficient in California probate law and estate planning procedures.

• Strong experience in managing complex discovery and case management.

• Excellent legal research skills, including proficiency with Westlaw and LexisNexis.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in court e-filing systems and legal software, such as Clio and iManage.

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
