Habitat for Humanity of Island County Store Associate in Freeland, Washington
Summary of responsibilities:
Assist the Store manager with the operation of the Habitat for Humanity of Island County stores. Duties include donation procurement, customer service, inventory maintenance, and volunteer training Key Responsibilities: Providing excellent customer service at the store and during donation procurement. Overseeing maintenance and cleanliness of the stores and stores equipment. Supervising, supporting and training volunteers. Maintaining stock levels within the stores. Assisting with the sorting, moving and pricing of merchandise. Cross training with other staff to fill other staff positions where necessary. Must be able to meet deadlines and have good communication skills. Experience, education and skill requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Current Washington state driver's license with a clean driving record (at least 1 year of driving experience) Ability to lift and move heavy furniture, equipment and building supplies (must be able to safely lift 50lbs unassisted). Knowledge and commitment to the Habitat Vision, Mission and Values. (in store training) Team player with the ability to provide supervision and leadership. Ability to recruit, train, supervise and support diverse groups of volunteers. Ability to communicate clearly. Experience with using a cash register and handling currency.
