As a Demand Planner at Stella & Chewy\'s, you will assist in planning the long and short-term sales volume planning process for the business including the development of a rolling 24-month forecast at both a customer and product SKU level. You will operate as a liaison between cross functional business teams to collect the necessary inputs to ensure forecast accuracy while achieving sales targets. The right individual will be able to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and supply chain to identify and evaluate the latest market trends, macro environment factors, and promotional impact on sales plans. Reporting to the Sales Planning Manager, this role will play an essential role in the forecasting process with the goal of achieving financial sales targets. The Sales Demand Planner will communicate sales forecasts and associated analytics to various levels of the sales organization and supply chain as well as identify potential risks and opportunities to the financial plan. This role is highly analytical with many competing priorities and requires an individual who can quickly disaggregate data and provide timely, insightful, data driven recommendations to best position the business for short & long-term success. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Lead a monthly forecasting review process that identifies and defines what our customers will purchase over multiple time horizons. 2.Create and maintain a 24-month rolling customer demand sales forecast by sku for our direct retailer and distributor customers. 3.Manage and maintain all forecasts for assigned customers/channels by working closely with key account managers along with frequent deep dives\' into product demand patterns, sales trends, seasonality components, along with measuring the impact of supply chain constraints and their effect on current & future forecasts. 4.Compare & analyze forecast variances between statistical forecast, POS forecast, consensus forecast. 5.Deliver analytical insights and forecasting callouts in the monthly Demand Review meetings with Supply Chain, Sales, & Finance to align on a consensus forecast across various time horizons. 6.Prepare & Present frequent analyses of sales forecasts, trends, risks, opportunities, as well as other analytical insights pertaining to specific customers or products as requested. 7.Drive cross functional collaboration with customers, key account managers, supply chain partners, and consumer insights teams to obtain relevant insights or data points to better forecast the business. 8.Work closely with New Product Development teams in new product planning by creating new product forecasts as well as evaluate performance of current product launches relative to initial projections. 9.Create and implement a new process for measuring and evaluating forecast accuracy along with associated KPI\'s. Requirements: BA/BS degree - Business or Technical, preferably in a quantitative field 3+ years\' experience in Sales forecasting, demand planning, or supply chain field working with forecasting software, techniques, capabilities, and reporting is preferred. Experience with statistical forecast mod ling preferred ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong analytical and quantitative mindset to handle and interpret large amounts of data Expert level in MS Office, specifically Excel Experience with statistical forecast modeling preferred Experience with IBP processes Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence peers to achieve desired business outcomes. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on problem solving, conflicting-objectives, and dealing with multiple key stakeholders. Self-motivated with a strong drive for achievement while working in a highly dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
