News Corp Australia Shoot Producer and Picture Editor in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

Body+Soul is looking for a part-time Shoot Producer/Picture Editor to join its team 3 days per week.

The successful applicant will report to the Creative Director and be responsible for producing cover shoots, undertaking image research for Body+Soul features, managing invoicing for shoots and stock image libraries, and assisting with picture editing.

  • It is a part-time position 3 days per week.

  • Assist in the creation of shoot schedules for each project, in collaboration with the Creative Director, Editor, designers and editorial team.

  • Assist in the creation of briefs for all crew with the Creative Director and art team.

  • Work with the Creative Director to ensure all talent, crew and props are efficiently organised.

  • Assist in the creation of location call sheets, and scout and source locations, confirm permits and teams.

  • Oversee the commissioning of photographers and crew.

  • Oversee and anticipate the hiring of any equipment needed, as well as organise catering for shoots.

  • Manage necessary transportation and accommodation for cast and crew when needed.

  • Supply picture credits to sub-editors and the digital team for any images running in print or online

  • Assist the art team with image research and pricing.

  • Attend shoots wherever necessary, acting as the producer on set and ensuring all talent and crew needs are met.

  • Ensure commissioning agreements and usage rights are maintained across print, digital and social and shared with the Editorial Coordinator/design team prior to archiving.

  • Ensure all image orders are sent to photographers in line with deadlines and returned with all feedback actioned in collaboration with the art team.

  • Oversee reuse and add-on costs.
