News Corp Australia Content Producer, Body + Soul in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

  • Reporting to the Digital Director and working closely with the Digital Editor, this role is responsible for creating, producing and optimising editorial content from a number of different formats to meet key business objectives and audience engagement goals.

  • Daily, you will be responsible for writing, publishing and distributing news content and building stories using internal and external data to inform headlines, sells, and video and image choices that drive audience referrals and retention on site from several channels.

  • Assist the Digital Editor with editorial tasks as required.

Who are you?

  • You have a passion for all things health, wellness and lifestyle-related, as well as digital production and journalism. You’re an avid reader and consumer of lifestyle digital content and are ahead of the curve when it comes to trends in these areas and the ways audiences consume content digitally.

  • You’ll have digital production experience in an editorial environment with an excellent eye for detail and sound digital judgement that is audience-first in its approach.

  • Good understanding of SEO and the value it provides for digital content and an understanding of how to optimise content on-site for different channels, such as social media.

  • Familiarity with content management systems, preferably WordPress. Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics is also a plus.

  • Solid understanding of how to make web content engage on multiple social platforms and a familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics platforms, like Emplifi.

  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask and think independently.

  • Have the ability to form relationships with stakeholders, including internal editors and reporters, as well as external contributors.

  • A team player who thrives on working with others.
