What’s the role?
Medium Rare is looking for a content editor to join its Travel & Business division. Responsible for contributing to all forms of content for the client, from print to social, the right candidate will be an ideas person who is passionate about creating engaging content for a wide audience.
As a trusted and valued member of Medium Rare’s CommBank team, you will be professional, reliable and have strong problem-solving and organisational skills. You’ll be curious about the role money plays in people’s lives and how we can support audiences with our content. You’re comfortable with rolling deadlines, self motivated, passionate about quality and a real self starter. You’re willing to step outside of regular responsibilities and pitch in to help colleagues.
Responsibilities
Idea Generation & Creativity: Quickly develop innovative content ideas across various channels (magazines, digital, social media, YouTube) and adapt them for different formats and audiences.
Content Refinement & Alignment: Refine content briefs to ensure messaging is tailored to both consumer and corporate audiences, while maintaining the brand’s tone of voice and business objectives.
Copywriting & Storytelling: Act as the primary content creator, delivering on-point copy and crafting engaging stories through strong interviewing, structuring, and editing skills.
Project Management & Execution: Manage content projects from brief to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with client goals.
Collaboration & Client Relations: Work closely with creative teams, support SEO efforts, and represent the agency confidently in client-facing meetings, presenting ideas and answering queries.
Who are you?
Experienced in marketing, agency, or editorial roles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and creative teams across multiple projects.
You're a creative thinker and have the ability to shift between consumer and marketer mindsets to generate innovative and impactful content for diverse audiences.
Proficient in writing and content creation, with knowledge of the full editorial and production process, including digital and print design.
Capable of handling various tasks such as long-form writing, scripting, proofreading, social media asset creation, and production support.
You're calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
