News Corp Australia AI Architect in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

We are seeking a talented and experienced AI Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and designing scalable and secure AI solutions that align with our business strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI is effectively architected and designed into our existing infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create Enterprise AI Reference Architecture and AI Roadmaps aligned to Business Strategy and Enterprise Architecture Principles.

  • Architect and design secure, scalable and ethical AI solutions leveraging industry-leading AI frameworks and tools.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise use cases for AI implementation.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI models and applications.

  • Oversee the development, testing and deployment of AI solutions.

  • Ensure AI solutions comply with ethical standards and industry regulations.

  • Support the monitoring and maintenance of existing AI solutions, optimising performance and addressing potential issues.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

  • Create and document technical specifications and design decisions.

Who are you?

  • Proven experience specifying architecture and commercial models that address business needs while balancing cost, capability, and risk.

  • Strong understanding of the value proposition associated with AI.

  • Experience with some combination of GCP Vertex AI, AWS Personalise & ML/AI, Power Platform AI, Databricks Mosaic AI, OpenAI, other similar cloud AI frameworks and platforms.

  • Knowledge of AI Orchestration for integrating models from multiple vendors into a single platform.

  • Experience with MLOps application lifecycle management, CI/CD automation and operational monitoring and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of user modelling techniques like collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid approaches to create user profiles for personalisation.

  • In-depth understanding of recommendation system algorithms and their application in various personalisation scenarios (e.g., product recommendations, content recommendations).

  • Experience conducting A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies.

  • Ability to lead a team of software developers in the development of AI solutions considering among other things; security, scalability, ethics and data governance.

  • Able to explain complex analytical methodologies and concepts in non-technical language

  • Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs

  • Proven experience with various AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS and Azure).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
