Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Novi, Michigan

Description

RH has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst with a global, non-automotive, manufacturing industry, located in NOVI, Michigan. The role involves creating detailed financial models, business analysis, and financial analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and business valuation

• Conduct in-depth business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies

• Develop financial analytics to support strategic decision making

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and understand business objectives

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

• Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management

• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

• Advise management on the financial implications of business activities.

• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in business analysis and understanding of business operations.

• Strong skills in budgeting and forecasting with the ability to develop financial models.

• Experience in business valuation, including assessing the financial performance of a business.

• Advanced knowledge of financial modeling techniques to provide strategic recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and present findings clearly.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively report on financial trends and forecasts.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel for creating financial reports and models.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Relevant certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CMA would be an advantage.

• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
