Harman Becker Automotive Systems, Inc. seeks Sr. Director, Account Management in Novi, MI.
Duties: Develop and maintain the customer account strategy. Serve as the primary contact from Harman to capture and propagate the strategic and commercial voice of customers for a select portfolio of customer projects. Oversee commercial and legal agreements and customer negotiations for awarded business. Closely track customer satisfaction at senior levels, and provide strategies for course corrections when needed. Provide ownership of commercial targets (including revenue, EBIT, and Cash Flow) for defined portfolio of customer programs. Own the continuity of awarded business (including extensions, follow-ons, and customer requests) with special attention to the continued lifetime profitability of the developed portfolio. Develop and maintain a relationship map for internal reference, including the status of the relationship, goals, and actions to get to the desired state. Execute the HR cycle activities on an as-needed basis including hiring, performance management, succession planning, coaching, and development. Position will have up to 4 subordinate direct reports in the occupation of automotive sales.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field plus 10 years of experience in automotive sales or a related occupation. Position requires 10 years of sales experience. Position also requires 5 years of experience with the following: leading an Account Management organization along with customer interfacing and cultivating customer relationships; Profit & Loss statements, business cases, and quotes and contracts with automotive OEMs; automotive-specific sales experience; and working with the Automotive ecosystem including different Tier levels and 3rd party suppliers. Telecommuting permitted. Requires domestic and/or international travel up to 15% of time.
