A123 Systems LLC Senior Software Validation Engineer in Novi, Michigan
Senior Software Validation Engineer (A123 Systems LLC; Novi, Michigan): Specific Responsibilities for the Sr. Software Validation Engineer include: Developing test scripts in NI TestStand using NI LabVIEW & NI VeriStand. Reviewing the Test Cases in IBM DOORs/RQM and uploading the reports in JIRA/RTC. Communicating with clients directly. Defining and executing HIL, battery pack, and regression testing. Working with cross functional teams (software, HIL, systems) to develop BMS and Pack level test cases. Providing analysis on data collected during testing. Developing the process and layout for test artifacts and documents including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Build HiL systems based on project requirement. Review test cases developed from the team and provide feedback/suggestions. Analyze test reports to understand if there is a SW bug. 10% domestic travel.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related plus 6 years of experience as system validation or test engineer. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related plus 4 years of experience as system validation or test engineer.
Must have
: Knowledge of NI (Lab view, Test stand and Veri stand). Knowledge of merging branches into Tag/trunk for Software release. Proven knowledge and experience of analyzing system requirements specifications and development of validation plans. Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and relevant debugging tools. 4 years of experience with executing test cases independently for at least one of these: system testing /HIL testing. 4 years of experience with data acquisition and calibration software (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.) Strong knowledge of Battery Management Systems.
