Position Purpose

This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of consumer and home equity lending operations; Providing valuable insights into credit union practices and processes. The ideal candidate will assist with tasks such as email and phone correspondence, document handling, dealership contact and file cleanup, all while learning essential skills for a career in financial services.

Essential Duties

  • Verify documentation as part of the loan application process and ensure proper filing

  • Handle internal and external email correspondence

  • Respond to internal and external phone inquiries and escalate issues as needed

  • Organize and digitize paperwork, ensuring compliance

  • Create and mail member notices and documents in line with regulatory requirements

  • Obtain, review and distribute recurring reports

  • Maintain and update specialized loan certifications

  • Report relevant payoffs for certified loans

  • Assist in updating and maintaining up dealership contact information in internal systems

  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the lending team

    Education/Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program, preferably in finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • HS Diploma required

    Skills/Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document review .

  • Proficient in M365 product suite

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
