Henry Ford Health System Lead Technologist - Interventional Radiology - 40 Hours - Days in Novi, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Full Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: FT 40 hours per week, day shift with weekend rotation

Must be able to take call after normal business hours. This person would be a working lead tech. They would need to be required to participate in exams as well as perform the duties assigned as the lead tech.

Leads the daily operations of interventional imaging services. Responsibilities: Ensures quality imaging, patient care and work flow. Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.| Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.| Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.| Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.| Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.| Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.| Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).| Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

    CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

  • Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

  • One or more of the following required:

    o Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    o Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    o Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

    ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:

    Previous IR experience required, e xperience in neuro cases preferred, l eadership skills preferred.
