Position Title: Housekeeping Attendant Department: Housekeeping Reports to: Head Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary: The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces within the hotel. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a positive guest experience through attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning: Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and replenishing supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens.
- Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests for additional items or assistance with any housekeeping needs in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Reporting Issues: Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs within guest rooms or common areas.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward guests and team members.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require working weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on hotel occupancy.
- The work environment can include exposure to cleaning chemicals and a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
