About the Role: In this role you will be responsible for the innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor HARMAN's operational and strategic risk. You will develop and implement Enterprise Risk Management policies and procedures according to an enterprise risk management framework.

What You Will Do

Coordinate strategic and operational execution of complex activities and deliverables related to HARMAN's Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") program. Manage the HARMS risk management tool (and other successor or similar tools), identify and help remediate potential risk exposures and risk management gaps as well as evolving risks. Develop & maintain qualitative & quantitative risk evaluation processes, including but not limited to supporting financial evaluation of risks and mitigation alternatives. Independently provide second-line-of-defense risk management support and governance to the organization. Maintain and improve risk management framework documentation, training materials, and provide training to key new stakeholders on the ERM framework. Update and improve HARMAN's risk management framework including overseeing the identification and tracking of key risk indicators. Lead efforts to collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to address and mitigate identified risks. Lead efforts to prepare timely, clear, concise and high-quality reporting for the Senior Leadership Committee, and as directed, the Board of Directors and related subcommittees. Conduct risk assessments to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and likelihood of occurrence. Develop risk mitigation strategies, solutions, and recommendations. Plan, lead, and coordinate ongoing remediation of identified risks and ensure escalation to operational and/or executive managers as necessary. Assess the adequacy of risk management systems, policies and procedures, and compliance with applicable law. Gather and organize information, derive sound analysis, support findings and conclusions, make recommendations, and follows up as appropriate. Prepare and present both orally and in written form, conclusions, and recommendations of varying complexity to internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need

Bachelor's degree, relevant accreditation, or equivalent experience 10+ years of direct work-related experience 3+ years in risk management required Demonstrate an understanding of enterprise risk management best practices, including within global manufacturing and/or consumer product companies. Ability to understand and execute risk focused supervision and processes. Independent critical thinking and decision-making abilities as well as possessing excellent written and oral communication abilities. Possesses strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and work collaboratively within and across work teams. Ability to manage time and projects effectively by adjusting quickly to new and different priorities. Aptitude to leverage relevant technology and software applications. Knowledge and experience regarding general business operational, financial, and strategic risk; how risk management should be applied in individual cases versus systemic applications, an understanding of population-based evidence; working knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis. Ability to quantify potential financial impacts of risks and their mitigants, as well as advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
