Agiliti Health Industrial and Process Engineer in Not Applicable, Minnesota

Job Description:

The Industrial/process Engineer will play a key role in driving improved productivity and cost effectiveness by recommending and implementing changes to improve the performance of systems and people, increase utilization of labor and other resources while maintaining or improving safety, quality and customer service.

The Industrial/process Engineer may also work on a variety of projects including, but not limited to supply chain analysis and design, process improvement, and implementation of material handling systems and technology changes to drive operational excellence aligned with aspirations of Agiliti.

The Industrial/Process Engineer may participate in customer facing activities including but not limited to requirements analysis, RFQ review and SOW preparation, process design and standardization, Workflow and labor analysis for biomed and asset management teams at customer sites etc.

The Industrial/Process Engineer reports to the Industrial/Process Engineering Manager and will closely coordinate work with the field operations leaders.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve work methods by analyzing methods and procedures to ascertain the most efficient way to perform all service center tasks. (Reducing steps, travel, non-value-added time, and waste, deploying best practices, works amplification, staff planning, balancing, and identification/removal of barriers to productivity).

  • Improves processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

  • Develops processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

  • Lead Six sigma (DMAIC) projects to improve field and corporate processes.

  • Lead kaizen events to implement process changes.

  • Design service center layouts and workstations that meet Agiliti safety and quality requirements and optimize material flow (Travel reduction, process balancing and optimizing storage utilization)

  • Provide engineering support for the establishment of accurate labor standards using time study or equivalent techniques.

  • Maintain complete standards and methods documentation, perform scheduled audits. Maintain written procedures and layouts as needed to reflect changes in business requirements, preferred methodologies, etc. and insure continued accuracy of standard.

  • Providing engineering support to Agiliti operations at customer sites. Perform requirements analysis, process and facilities design and work with the customer to ensure compliance to customer requirements.

  • Provide Operations team with necessary support and guidance for improving utilization of our resources (Direct and Indirect Labor, equipment, space, etc.)

  • Provide technical support for material handling system improvement (configuration, improved capacity, efficiency)

  • Monitor and maintain a deep understanding of variables impacting key performance metrics, contributing input and support to team in achieving targets.

  • Provide guidance and support for cost reduction projects.

EXPERIENCE

  • BSc. In Industrial/Manufacturing/Process engineering

  • 0 to 3 years of engineering experience

  • Experience in manufacturing workstation design, Testing and inspection methods preferred

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, distribution networks, logistics, layout designs using CAD, automation of material handling etc. preferred

  • Project management experience preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time

  • Proficient in MS Excel with Macros, MS Access, VBA, Word, Visio and Power Point

Pay Range for All Remote Locations:

$55,095.22-$143,226.65

This range represents the low and high ends of the Agiliti pay range for this position. This base pay range information is based on the market locations shown.
