Role summary:

Work effectively in a team environment to ensure facilities and production equipment are consistently in good working condition by performing repairs and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1-2 years Maintenance or equivalent experience

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine maintenance of facility and production equipment as designated by the Maintenance Manager.

  • Assures proper functioning of various security systems (fire detection and suppression, building access, etc.)

  • Maintains an efficient work schedule based on assigned tasks.

  • Conducts preventative maintenance servicing by ensuring work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Actively engages in the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with all tasks and projects performed.

  • Cross-trains other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.

  • Frequent interaction with site management, employees, internal and/or external suppliers, manufacturers, etc. to address equipment concerns.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on site needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Special education and/or vocational training.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and carpentry skills.

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operation and repair.

  • Basic knowledge HVAC system and tool knowledge.

  • Industrial machining equipment diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

The pay for this position is $20.60/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 11/1/2024.
